The Forgotten EDC Accessory You Should Be Carrying

Today we're gonna take a look at a long (for some reason) forgotten EDC item, the handkerchief. Despite being so useful and pocketable, handkerchiefs have been pushed out of mainstream EDC. On this video I'm making a case on why they should come back, or at least why you should consider carrying one.

My dad always carried two handkerchiefs. I carry a bandana for all of the reasons you covered and as a large bandage if needed. Ty

I always carry a handkerchief or bandana. Not gonna spend $24 for one, though. And that one's way too small.

I keep one in my bag, it's very handy if you go to wash your hands or rinse something off and there's no paper towels. Also if you get food and no napkin.

I always carry a basic lens cleaning style microfiber in my back pocket, mainly for my sunglasses, blade cleanup, etc. I also have several industrial hand cleaning wipes in individual tear packs in my bag (the kind with the smooth side and a "scrubbing" texture side) for heavier duty cleanups. They're great for dirty hands or sticky residue on blades. Hint - also great if you are dressed up and accidentally get something on your pants/shirt, they'll even remove ink spots.

The humble red bandana since 1972. Wash and dries quickly. Have used it overland backpacking as a towel, head/neck wrap in the heat, face wrap in the desert, even a food wrap, and can be fashioned into a pouch as well.

Always been a handkerchief carrier. Not sure I like this particular brand. Its a bit small and the gromet with string is silly and just overthinking it. I would buy Might Hanks easily before this brand.

I carry a little sand in my pocket all the time. It's saved me three times over 25 years time.

I've been carrying handkerchiefs to avoid tissue for years. I think a microfiber cloth and a standard handkerchief take up as much space as one of those thick squares but you wont get boogwrs on your lens

Totally agree that hanks are super useful! I absolutely love renegade edc's hanks, I will have to check out awesome hank sometime!
