For reference to anyone who wants to try the chromecast for game streaming;
Moonlight has less input latency than steam link. :)

Can you do another video on this with a how to sideload apps and get emulators set up from the usb port on your router. This is a great option for people that have a router that can do network storage and it let's you access the games over the network so you can have multiple chromecasts around the house to access the same library.

Love your videos!

I did the same thing yesterday with game pass and xcloud I used sideloader you and I have it setup the same way.
I also put the app on my fire 4k TV. I haven't played because I'm waiting for a controller with the Xbox home feature I was thinking about buying the one you're using but I'll wait until my Xbox series X
Comes in. I used sideloader on my Sony Bravia with the 4k android TV. Until it died! Now I have a LG C9 with Google TV the one feature I missed this Version is better than any other. Thank you for your videos.

I actually see that audio issue on xCloud on android phones as well, especially the older ones but Stadia usually runs better on them so I think Microsoft just needs to optimize more. Let’s remember xCloud is still in beta!

I've had not run into any sound issues with GamePass on mine. You're probably using the wrong version of the app. There are 3 different versions, I believe one is for Phones, one is for tablets and one is for ChromeOS, I'm using the version that's supported on ChromeOS on the Chromecast and it runs great.

Iv been playing moonlight and steamlink on here... the main problem I've noticed is the input latency, iv tried both my dualshock 4 and my xbox one controller.. and the controller is around 30-40ms latency.. compared to using moonlight on my phone or ipad which is 4ms. So maybe you got used to it but for me it just makes it unplayable, I was trying to do a horse race on witcher 3 and any game where u need to drive/steer u need to anticipate every turn about 1 second ahead. Its just not feasable, I also tried having the controller plugged into my pc directly and just stream image to tv, but I found out that the controller latency is not where the lag is... its the image, put side by side the google tv displays the image 1-2 seconds later than my pc monitor... other than gaming the google tv is great.. but for now im gonna see if I cant get a nvidia shield.

Thank you so much for the video! Do you know how many controllers can be connected at once? I'd love to play some couch co-op games. Thanks!

Great video! Do you know, can you connect multiple controllers to the chromecast to play multiplayer??

For me steam link and parsec don't work very well but moonlight is pretty decent. Besides the 70 ms lag which is still playable.

I discovered you can use a stadia controller with stadia on the Chromecast. Just have to turn of the current bluetooth controller and it'll tell you to put in a stadia link code.

Curious to see if a USBC to ethernet adapter would improve any of the issues encountered.

Question for anyone who may know. Is there a way to stream your pc screen to chromecast to play emulators?

Is there anything like subsonic but for video games so you could setup something like your own personal stadia that you could access and play anywhere not just your house?
