Roland ds88 has very nice weighted keys. Gives it a great piano feel when played and the sounds are outstanding.

All these "raves" about the DS, and everybody is leaving out the fact that it is a workstation. 8-track sequencer with up to 8 measures loops that you can create on 8 separate tracks. And the built-in drum patches are endless. My go-to synth for snatching a melody that's been floating in my head and then bumping it out to a legit segment of music. And THEN you can download it directly to Ableton and add to it from there. Great "first step" towards an entire song creation.

No rhythm in a performance? Is it possible to program a sequenced drum in one of the 16 parts? Or otherwise playng a performance along with Rhytmh pattern? Many thanks for this video, going to get a DS but I’d like to be sure i can play drum with the multi patch. Cheers

The preset strings and orchestral sounds are nothing to write home about. Do yourself a favor and download expansions #8 and #10 from the Axial site. I promise you, you won't be sorry...

great! I have a problem with this keyboard. the sound in the headphones is good, but connected to speakers it sounds without bass.

Any ideas.

If you had to choose between the Casio CTX 5000 and Roland Juno DS61 which would you choose and why?

I realize that these are very different but I'm trying to justify the extra money the Roland cost compared to a Casio that is quite impressive for what it can do.
