Windows 10 UI Evolution!

With Windows 11 being released, it's time to take one step back towards it's predecessor known as Windows 10. Here is a video showing how the Windows 10 UI has evolved from the early technical preview builds, up to today. (20H2's UI is the same as 21H2).

I remember testing that build 10036 and thinking that the icons were the worst Windows icons I'd ever seen. Thankfully they didn't last. I do miss the nice blur effect on RTM which eventually got replaced by acrylic. There also used to be a nice transition animation if you clicked start and then the search box on the taskbar

the reason why build 18946 is on light mode is because the prototype start menu isn't compatible with dark mode as much btw

ı like the fact that windows's uı has evolved due to its time. every version of windows is a reflection of its time.

I always break Windows 10 into two eras: the 1507-1709 era and the 1803-22H2 era. Practically two different operating systems, both spanning a three year life.

You forgot the last dev build of Windows 10 which had some UI overhauls, which in turn got transferred over to Windows 11

- New start menu, new ui for metro apps so you dont need to swipe them, new explorer icon etc.

- New start menu again, new icons again, a beta version of store and edge, cortana, new logon screen etc.

1:05 RTM
- New start menu again and again, new icons again and again, new full version of store, logon screen changed, new notification center etc.

1:42 Version 1803
- New store, new task view, settings menu, search something with speech faster etc.

2:12 Build 18946
- New light mode, new start menu combination, emoji picker, new uac, new notification center etc.

2:41 Version 20H2
- logon screen automatic background, new microsoft edge etc.

Windows 10 was absolutely an improvement over 8.1, and 11 an improvement after that. But it still can't match the quality of UI design of 7 & XP.

windows 10 RTM Settings's caps and bold letters are VERY similar to samsung experience ui

You know guys we had old version of windows 10 and the windows weren't fine so we did new setup but when the setup was done to windows 10 pro i think i didn't saw microsoft edge is written "e" but i think it was
E letter so it was but we did same pro windows then we did home and icon called Meet now came so we removed it so that what it happend.
