Third time’s the charm? The lights go dark. The music pauses. The Apple Logo hits the screen. Tim Cook. “Good morning!” Or… wait… “Hello and welcome back to Apple Park.” I mean, it’s like we can’t depend on anything anymore. Not anything. Not in 2020, the “drop test” of years.

We’ve already had the September event, not for iPhone and Apple Watch but… Apple Watch and iPad.

And the October event, not for iPad and Mac but for… HomePod mini and iPhone.

And that just leaves lucky number three, for the already teased… Apple Silicon and…

Well, we all know the drill by now.

Drone shot. Speed ramp. Transition. Steady cam. And then… Apple TV or AirPods Studio, or AirTags, maybe iPad Pro, or maybe, just maybe… one more thing.

I just bought a new Macbook Pro.
Then I heard about silicon.
Technology is forever changing, but this is a change I didn't want to miss out on.
So I returned it...am now waiting patiently for the new Pro...who am I kidding...

I'd be surprised if Apple did anything but Macs for this event. Tim upfronted the first Event with what they were going to show. And that's all they showed.
Macs just had their best quarter *ever*, and this is (barely) arguably the biggest change to the Mac *ever*, so I'd be surprised if this Event is going to be anything other than about the Mac. What the Mac means to Apple, how it fits within the product line, how it will fit now. Big Sur. "Legacy" compatibility (which is one way the AS will differ). Virtualization support (another way). The parts of the developer story that will appeal to non-developer customers. I'm also gonna stake out "M1" chips. No A-series in Macs AT ALL.
