You’re absolutely right about who’s is to blame for the damage box. Most people blame the carrier but at times the shipper or sender is too cheap to properly wrap it for protection.

That box isn't broken, it just points the controller to the console telling us that the controller is compatible with the console.

I’ll tell you why it took longer for the controller... the controller updated wirelessly whereas the console used a wired connection. Wireless is usually slower. Not to mention we have never really explored the transfer rate of updates to controllers anyway.

Lol same thing happened to me when I bought the one x. Box was damaged, and the console was too! The console sounded like parts were falling around inside. When I went to return it....they actually fought me on it lol! Took me close to 20 minutes of arguing to get my money back. That was the very last time I ever spent money at GameStop,

Never shop at GameStop. I’m amazed people still go there for game stuff. I haven’t bought a single thing from them in probably 10 years.

I have a Series S and enjoy it alot. Game pass is amazing. I'm a playstation gamer but wanted a cheap entry to Xbox as a secondary console. My only minor disappointment is that it plays One S versions of older titles instead of One X enhanced, despite being powerful enough to handle that.
Still trying to get a PS5 but Series S is keeping me entertained till then.
