Show them footage of the aftermath of what happens when you screw around on train tracks. The Finishing Line back in the 1970s permanantly scared the heck out of a lot of schoolkids.

The fact that you don't get knocked flying by a train, you explode from the impact is the reason there's a 100% fatality rate if you're hit full on.
