Nicole had never had a white Christmas, in fact, she lives somewhere that has never had snow, ever. So, when she and her Mom were shopping for Christmas decorations at their local Home Depot, and she saw Instant Snow – you just add water and like magic, snow appears – she had to have it. How can you deny a kid snow on Christmas? You can't, so her Mom bought it for her – and she showed her friends and they loved it! They asked if she would share it and of course, she said sure. She put some of the white powder into a bunch of zip-loc baggies, labeled them, and brought them to school to share with her friends.

But this isn't a story about Christmas, or instant snow, or about sharing with her Fam - friends or other students. This is a story about adults getting it wrong, and kids just being kids, and a lot of drama with Teachers and Parents and the Police – yes, the Cops! - and about how Nicole, and her Mom, are accused of something that they would never, in a million years, do. See, Nicole and her Mom and her friends, they all knew that the white powder being passed around in little baggies was Instant Snow, but the other parents, and the teachers, and the police, they thought it was something different. They thought it was drugs!!! Talk about drama!

When one of the girls' Moms spotted the bag of white powder she was alarmed, panicked even, and so when she asked her daughter where she got it and found out she got it at school, she went crazy – called the school and talked to the Principal. When a teacher asked Nicole where she got the white stuff that she was handing out, of course, she said she got it from her Mom. She had no idea that the teacher thought it was anything different than what it was.

Mom was called, the Police were called, and finally the truth came out – it wasn't drugs, it was just snow! Talk about a big misunderstanding! Looking back on this, it could have been an incredibly funny prank. But it's best that this story happened just the way it did and no one got hurt, or in trouble. And now Nicole has an AMAZINGLY hilarious and funny story to tell for the rest of her life.

I like how innocent a childs mind is and I think this was fun and worrying at the same time because of the missunderstanding between grown ups and kids.
When I saw "Snow Powder" in the bag I was like... that can be seen as drugs.
