Ahmedabad (Gujarat): Amul on June 02 announced a hike in milk price by approx Rs 2 per liter effective from June 3 across India. While a local expressed displeasure over the price rise another called it normal. Another said that price hikes have become normal as soon as elections end. Earlier, one-litre pouch of Amul Taaza milk cost Rs 54 and that of Amul Gold was Rs 66. The fresh rates after the price hike will be Rs 56 and Rs 68 respectively.
