This video demonstrates how to find the center of any board with only a tape measure, no math needed.

The neat thing about this is someone who knows math reasonably well could explain WHY this works. And, with that explanation, could also tell you how to divide a board into thirds, quarters, fifths, sixths, sevenths, etc.
