So we pretty much didn't learn the answer to the question. And saying the arms having a mind of their own isn't true. They're controlled by the octopus, we just don't know how the octopus moves them all independently. Smh

sometimes that true sometimes thats a no no, they move by the circle spots under their low neck you can see that a cover pops up and disappears. Those are called jet propulser (why does the word propulser have a red underlinec under it even though its the correct spelling?)

First of all, you presume you know.
latter on you suggesting ideas, but more than ideas which say the Octopus moves the arms with his brain, well .. that we already know, but how exactly he does is with so many arms? you don't know. In the end, you say each arm has its own brain,  and really you brings us back to point one, to where we start.
Any ways, nice to see you try.

octopus arms taste delicous with hot sauce. Ask your Korean friend he knows it and will tell you about it.

When the water begins to boil, the octo pus will move quickly then. The octo pus, the hexa pus, the quinta pus all. squealing and squirming. we'll getcha moving there octo. Believe it.
