Oh girl. I am proud of you. I can hear how frighten or nervous your voice was. I saw a few of your shorts and some of the comments. It's easy to judge but by just creating this vlogs, you are doing one thing right - You did not look away. Don't feel bad about the bad comments. It might seems small but it does help to spread awareness. We have so many thieves coming to the house to steal bananas, coconuts, steel bars, stinky beans.. anything literally. First few times I can't even get any sound out. These days, not only I scream from afar, I can curse too. Practise makes perfect. But please safety first. Take care. You're doing great. ❤ ❤

Top tip I have (especially if you’re with someone) is to very vocally remind your friend to watch out for your things. It tells everyone around you you’re fully aware, it’s a good deterrent

2. Hands in your pockets
3. Your bag in your line of sight at all times
4. Wear tight clothing, helps you feel movement
5. Just be aware of people, who might be eyeing you or possible has been following you

Say THIEF, not PICKPOKET. Many non native english speakers (tourists) dont understand pickpoket, its a not very common word. If they ubderstand it, it will take them to long to process. Talking from experience with tourists and people with some english knowledge. Say THIEF, that is a word that every basic english speaker knows and it also attracts attention faster ro the situation as its a trigger word.

We (tour group from Singapore) were lucky to have experienced tour leader when we were in Italy, France and Switzerland . He (tour leader) told us to go for the last deck when taking a train (in Italy) as pickpockets feel they can easily spotted when committing the crime. True enough, we were safe from pickpockets.

I traveled a lot when I was younger both for business and for fun. I kept most of my money in the hotel safes and the money I had with me I kept in special pouches that I attached to my bra. I only had a little money in my pocket for meals and such and didn’t carry a purse. We, women really don’t need a purse, do we all of the time. You can have a lipstick in your pocket if that’s your thing.
I never lost any money and only wore jewelry when I had business meetings, otherwise it was in the hotel safe along with my passport.
People can easily keep safe or at least do your utmost not to make it easy for these ‘THIEVES’😅
