If you read the verse 71:16 it says that “placing the moon between them as a light and sun as a lamp”. Doesn’t you get light on earth on night from moon? The purpose of moon to lit the earth for night.

There are completely two different words used. God never said thats moon is also a lamp.

Also 41:12 talks about covering the lowest heavens with lamps—a word used in Quran for stars and sun.
