I am a biochemist and a Christian. I remember taking a graduate class on DNA replication and at one point during class my atheist friend said she was having a hard time believing there wasn't a God after seeing the enormous complexity involved.

I used to consider myself an intellectual. I had perfect scores in my science and philosophy classes. I loved to debate, and considered myself well versed in theistic and atheistic arguments. I had studied and practiced many religions, from Asatru- Wiccan and every other major belief in between I could find. Except Christianity, I hated them. I would physically fight and argue with Christian’s because I believed them all to be judge mental hypocrites. I vandalized their churches and cursed God openly. I was very physically fit, and a confident diy guy. I didn’t think anything could stop me. Until one day, I found myself in an impossible and dire situation health situation. One that no science, medicine, or philosophy could help with.

It is impossible to understate the fear and hopelessness I felt. My body was physically broken, the prognosis was loss of all quality of life and a slow painful death. I had been humbled to the ground. I was seriously contemplating suicide. I cried out to Jesus in last ditch desperation. I was on my hands and knees, with tears and snot running down my face. To my surprise, He showed up. I had a waking vision. In which I saw Jesus touch my shoulder. When He did, my body was filled with a supernatural comfort. I can’t explain it, but it happened. I was overwhelmed and confused. But after that moment everything began to change for me. I gave my life to Jesus. I was baptized. Then 2 days later I was baptized in the Holy Ghost- which I didn’t even believe in a few weeks before. My body and mind began to heal, but that isn’t the amazing part. I am a totally new person inside. I have been born again. I have a relationship with the living God Jesus.

I am here to tell you, whatever wisdom you think you know about the world- it is foolishness to God. All my knowledge, ability, and experience couldn’t save me- Jesus saved me.

God’s inspired Word is the absolute truth. If you will take a step of faith and begin to read it that way, and pray about it- you will see that it is.

1 Corinthians 2: 1 And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God.
2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.
3 And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling.
4 And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:
5 That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.

Proverbs 3: 5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

2 Corinthians 10: 3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:
4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)
5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

Revelation 12:11And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

As a former athiest myself this was such a beautiful testimony. Science supports the existence of God, don’t be afraid to seek the truth. No matter what the world will tell you the is such a thing as absolute truth. God is truth, and the Bible says that the truth shall make you free.

I am a physicist, formerly a cell biologist. I am also Christian. My faith has never called on me to reject one fact of science. Indeed science has supported my faith.

I am an historian, combat veteran, and most importantly, a follower of Jesus Christ. I rejoice with Heaven when I hear of someone giving their life to God.

His story of being a life long non believer, and then the more he learned, the more it pointed to an intelligent designer is the same experience I had. The dream of being encircled and trying to find a way out, almost the same, except it was mountains all around, and I was looking for a path, and after searching for what seemed like forever, I saw what looked like a very narrow path out up the mountains, and as I approached it, I saw an ancient withered sign I can still see the grooves in the wood, and carved and painted in red was "MAR 3 13", which I had to do a double take in my dream because march 13th is my birthday, but it was weird because I took it as march march 13th. after that, I woke up, and the dream didn't leave me, as it hasn't, even today. I got on the computer and typed that in, and Mark 3:13 came up "Jesus went up on a mountainside and called to him those he wanted, and they came to him." I had never read the bible at that point, but how it fit with the dream and everything, I instantly started crying and my body began to shake. At that point I knew for certain.

I’m a registered nurse who recently became immersed in religion and Christianity. I’m truly blessed to take part in this journey alongside God and all of you. Since God has revealed Himself to me I have simply no complaints about life, I don’t get bored, I find joy in each passing second everyday, and I go to bed at night feeling the best kind of love. Best wishes to all of you.

In 2009, I began question " What is the origin of life, meaning " etc. Born in a Hindu family I thought of going to Himalayas and meditate....but didn't have the guts to leave comfortable family life etc. So God did it for me. By 2012 I was stripped off everything. In 2013, 20th July I saw a vision by 2016 I am a follower of Christ. Last month while speaking to a 5th generation Reformed Christian I was branded a mystic!!! I am Reformed, Calvinist....But I believe in the mysterious way God works and I know what mysticism is. I am no more what I was. Jesus Christ is my Lord.

I read through about 100 comments, and I have to say... I have never seen that many positive comments on anything ever on the Internet EVER. There is so much hope for us all and it makes me start to tear up. Happy for all of you!

I'm not a biochemist. But I took a graduate course in genetics while studying horticulture. I was completely amazed at the complexity of DNA and its functioning and my thought was that this DNA system couldn't have just evolved by chance. I grew up in a very secular family. I'm now a Christian.

I am a Christian MD. My graduate yrs continually moved me towards God as I saw the unending complexity of biochemical processes in the body. I have said my whole life that Science and Christianity are complementary.

I am 33. Did not believe in God most of my life but always felt like I was wrong or there was someone or something there for me during hard times I could not explain. I have started exploring Christianity. This was helpful and interesting. Thank you.

My Dad is nuclear physicist. He wasn't raised religious at all, and has always had a rational disposition. He tells me about how, with all he has learned in the sciences, with all the complexity and orchestration of our world, and with the sheer miracle and mystery that anything exists at all (let alone life and consciousness) - the more he has discovered that God must exist. He often comments that any physicist who actually knows what they're talking about yet who says they don't believe in God (or any higher ordering principle) is being utterly disingenuous.

I, too, have had significant dreams with biblical accuracy and references before I was a Christian. It is proof positive to me that even while I was still a sinner, separated from God, Christ died for me ❤

I grew up in a Buddhist household, hold a chemical engineering and chemistry degree, and I’m now a recent Christian. The more I think about the Conservation of energy, Mass, and seeing the divine creation, and thinking about it, how He hears me. The more I believe and am now a believer.

An absolutely fascinating interview. I am a Catholic myself. Now I am in grief as my twenty-year-old Daughter died suddenly and unexpectedly over a year ago. At the very beginning I kept asking questions until I realized that it is not about knowing, it is about trusting. The notions of life and death touch the inexplicable and I learned it the hard way. Without my trust in Merciful Jesus I wouldn't have survived the loss. Thank you for the interview. I am impressed by its authenticity and modesty. Of course I have just subscribed to the channel.

I pastor a church located in a university town, and am thankful for the open and unapologetic testimony of academics. I pray the faith of our educators in Jesus Christ continues to grow.
