My favorite RPi case, hope they can revise it for Pi 4.

The issue with undervoltage within about 6 months is something made me re configured the whole case components to get it to work properly including safe shut down and safe reset, I figured out a way to utilize the case components connecting them totally different from the retroflag approch and I've been able to still using it with almost all the features exepting for the upper usb ports, Cheers

So much Retropie goodness on this channel! Thanks for all the tips and help, MLP!

This is, thanfully, an old version of the NESPi by this point. The revised version does allow you to safely use the power and reset buttons (when using the correct scripts), and the black strip is definitely not a sticker. It's seriously dope now.

Cooling kit is $13 USD + free shipping, $65 CAD + $8 shipping. Yay Canadain amazon. Glad I found it on aliexpress 😃

This looks really cool, I love how it holds the SD cards. I hate losing them. I think my dog ate one too...

I would actually like to see what the difference in temps are compared to no heatsink.

I recently just bought this case myself and you definitely need a heat sink or a fan as you stated in this video. Nice job

Was avoiding getting that cooler due to 2 fans. I currently have a small fan that has a high pitched wine. Will give this a shot when they come available again. Great video

Awesome review. I bought these because they look awesome and I want to build my own SoulJaBoi system!

Sold me on one of these cases, sorely tempted by the heatsink.

The power button is awesome. Same as the switch on the cord. The reset button is perfect for freezes. My old method was to unplug upon freeze. My question is about the noise with the dual fans. The single fan was way too loud

Inside the manual, there is a link to a safe shut down script for the power button to safely turn off the raspberry. At least in the nespi case+ manual.

You commented on the color. That made me wonder if the they actually designed the color around their old NES consoles. The NESPi actually looks like my old, yellowed NES system!

I just installed the Ultimate Cooling kit in my NESPi case. I was surprised that it didn't do a better job at cooling the system. It's currently 52.6°C. The Pi was actually cooler before I installed the Ultimate Cooling kit. I used to have temperatures around 47°C. I have to say that I am a little disappointed...

The only flaw about this case is lack of enough air-flow slots. No matter whatever fan and heatsink we use, the fan constantly circulates same warm air within the case. Needs extra slots/openings.

Mine has a wonky bearing or something, little pulse noise but it's still quieter than the single case fan I had in my NESPI case. Still though, I love it. I've got mine overclocked enough to play 007!
