Every day, it becomes clearer and clearer that the Space Force was actually a good idea.

A little different with Taiwan, as it's more similar to if Texas invaded the rest of the US, conquered it all, then the leadership of Washington ran away to Hawaii and pledged to retake the mainland. Now fast forward 70 something years and this is similar to Taiwan and China's situation.

Actually if Texas wanted out of the union they cant. The US kinda had a big civil war about that issue.

I think Japan has a constant eye on China, because I often hear news in Japan about Chinese jets entering Taiwan’s airspace.

As a Chinese person, I really hope my government does not invade Taiwan. I’ve been to Taiwan and I think it’s an absolutely beautiful place, and the Taiwanese people don’t deserve to suffer. If it does happen, then it would mean all out war and the human race would not survive this.

10:25 To answer your question, Taiwan and The US have similar Democratic interests and it is an important country in the Region since if they get attacked then that would undermine Indo-Pacific security since our allies such as Japan, South Korea, The Philippines, Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia, India etc. could be at risk of being invaded as well

14:00 I just feel like pointing out that the reason we had a civil war in the USA was because of states wanting to separate. During the war, European countries were supposedly thinking about intervening and ending it, allowing the South to separate, but the North then said it was about slavery, and the other countries were no longer on the South's side and decided to stay out of it. The war not only did not start directly because of slavery, but for a good part of the war, it was looking really good for the South to win, perhaps with the aid of other countries.

As a Hong Konger myself, I would like to give my two cents on this matter.

If an invasion of Taiwan does happen, the majority of the Chinese population will be overwhelmingly supportive of it. They have been indoctrinated into thinking that maintaining the country’s integrity is far more important than the free will of the local populace in Taiwan.

Some people in Mainland China even supports the idea of “Keep the Island, Not The People” which can either be interpreted as in forcing the people out, or as in ethnic cleansing of the Taiwanese people.

The main reason for the idea mentioned above popping out is because of indoctrination to the Chinese populace by the government. The CCP is pumping out ideas and messages that belittles Taiwan and their population (Same stuff happened to Hong Kong).
From my viewpoint, 7 out of 10 average Chinese citizens see themselves as superior to the Taiwanese people and Hong Kongers, with the remaining 3 as more neutral but still supportive of reunification. They would think that having a thought for independence is blasphemy, that the local populace can be literally burned in order to preserve their country’s integrity.

Fuck China.

I must say that, I agree, that scene with the carriers and destroyers was very badass lol.

Fellow gamers, Taiwan Semiconductors produces over 50% of all world's microchips.

Defend Taiwan against the PRC, or the GPU shortage will be PERMANENT!

Taiwan is super important to world trade especially with resources for A.I. tech. Some insane percentage of all trade goes through that area. Japan specifically does not want China to control it. If I’m correct USA controlled it during WW2 strangling Japanese from war supplies… Pearl Harbor. Japan may retaliate again. Except now they’re an ally

We'll just have to hope this will not happen as it would probably be the spark to start a fire.

Thanks for reacting to my question!

The navy is only bigger because they have 100s of tiny speedboat type coastal patrol ships.

I just wanted to let you know that, last time I have checked, the Five Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breach patch fix has come out so it should be pretty ok for you to play now since you were considering on waiting for that patch fix before playing the game.

It seems both John & you aren't familiar with the relationship between China and Taiwan. Here's a brief summary to help, and others are free to add their opinions. Again, this is just a brief summary not meant to offend anyone:
Taiwan is an island to the southeast of China and has always had been occupied by its own indigenous people, whose culture is much like Polynesians/Native Americans for at least five to six thousand years. Then some 500 yrs ago, Europeans(Portuguese, Spanish, & Dutch) came and each established their own settlements along the western shores of Taiwan. Immigrants from China had always arrived steadily to escape the war and turmoil on the continent. At this time, the term “China” didn’t even exist. Then when the Ming Dynasty was about to be wiped out by the Manchurians who would establish the Qing Dynasty, a bunch of immigrants arrived. One of the Ming General kicked the Dutch out from the current Tainan region and wanted to use Taiwan as a base to beat the Manchurians. He wanted those who came earlier to help him, but most were like fk off as the Ming Dynasty wasn’t kind to its people.
The Qing would eventually beat this general and take Tainan, but not unify Taiwan. Most of the indigenous people still have their central mountains and eastern shores. Come the 1st Sino-Japanese War before the turn of 19th century, Taiwan given to Japan after the Qing Empire lost the war. For the first time, Taiwan as a whole was ruled by a government. Came the end of WW2, Japan lost and was forced to give up all its territories won by war including Taiwan. The Republic of China, who overthrew the Qing Empire and coined the idea of China/Chinese, was asked by the US to govern Taiwan.
Then ROC would lose its war with the People’s Republic of China and run to Taiwan, so PROC claims Taiwan belongs to it now, when Mao said it isn’t so.

In short, imagine the US colonized the Bahamas, then a civil war broke out in the US and the ruling government lost and retreated to the Bahamas. The new US government then claims the Bahamas has been an inseparable part of the new US since ancient times. Please remember, when ROC came to Taiwan, they brought some two million refugees while there were already some six million people already living in Taiwan. These people identified themselves as Japanese, Han, or indigenous people, not Chinese.

Another analogy: the UK is located in the Bahamas. After the loss of the Independence War, the US says the UK has been an inseparable part of the US since ancient times as both countries speak and use American. (That's right, not English) And that the US is the true representative of Anglo-Saxon ppl. Something like that.

12:10 Yup, remember during a cold war when one of the Submarine crew thought the war is already breaking out.
Three of them already give it a go to launch the nukes but that one crew member say no go. If that one crew say go, we lived in different world right now.

Taiwan didnt really leave, During the Chinese Civil war the KMT fled to Taiwan but both governments still claim either sovergnty as part of their own

We're literall funding them to do this too. We need to start decoupling from China economically and funding them right now before it's too late. It might already be.

🇹🇼 Thanks for your reminding me the time I was in Taiwan Air Force in 1996. I will never forget how I close to the war. Since then, I always keep this in mind that our own country and democracy can only be protected by ourselves. God and friends help only those who help self.
