'Investments From China Would Be Scrutinized': S Jaishankar

External Affairs Minister Of India S Jaishankar calls China a unique problem because it is a unique polity and economy. He says 'It's not just an Indian problem. If today people are complaining about trade deficits with China, it is because decades ago, we all consciously chose to overlook the nature of Chinese production and the advantages which they enjoyed in a system where they got a level playing field with all the advantages that they brought to bear. So my point is, there is a general China problem. We are not the only country in the world which is having a debate about China. Go to Europe and ask them, what is today among your major economic or national security debates? It's about China. Look at the United States, it's obsessed with China, and rightly so in many ways.'

Chinese companies are now extremely worried about investing in India, believing that the Indian government will not abide by the signed agreements to protect Chinese investment in India. Most Chinese traders do not provide credit lines when trading with India, and require Indian importers to pay the full amount at one time. This is because they believe that it will take several months of long and difficult negotiations to receive the final payment, and the risk is too high and they are unwilling to bear it.

Poor guy 😷.
China being a significant trading partner since very long. For example 'India's trade deficit with China has been increasing over the years.
China's share in India's industrial goods imports has risen from 21% to 30% in the last 15 years.
India is heavily dependent on China for critical goods and components in various sectors.
Although india is taking steps to reduce its dependence on China, but more needs to be done to address the country's growing trade deficit with China.
That being said india being dependant on other countries relying on other countries for long although before there was none that we don't have to depend or rely on others completely & yet we still point fingers instead of correcting ourselves lol ! 👍

We are doing VFD's 100% here without any country's collaboration. VFD's are the major expensive electronic equipment imported to India. Even though This speed controlling technology is the core concept of E vehicles, drones, electric trains etc, We are zero percent supported by local MSME department and government bodies around us??? Why Mr minister.

Instead of indirectly trading with china directly trading with china like europe, mexico and brazil would benefit for does not have single consumer electronics company... 100% of our electronics are from foreign companies...80% mobile phones in india are chinese vivo, oppo, mi, oneplus, etc....india should be in its aukath china is a very big country than india...china is two and half times bigger than india in area, four times bigger than india in economy....india is only deserved to be compared to african up fight with china is of no use....they can easily defeat us even easier than 1962....we might be a tiger but tiger cannot defeat giant
