Funny fact: Carrie Nation didn't use a hatchet until her husband made a joke about it. After smashing a few saloons with just rocks, Mr. Nation jokingly told his wife she should use a hatchet to do maximum damage to the places. And Carrie told him, "That is the most sensible thing you have said since I married you."

"For all his murdering, the IRS finally got Capone on Tax Evasion."
And that's why the Joker pays his taxes.

Fun fact: the “You wouldn’t download a car” PSA used a song they didn’t have a license for.
They made a psa about not pirating songs and movies using a song they pirated

My grandma actually witnessed Al Capone do a puppet show in elementary school, what a wild time

A fact about the moonshine stuff: during prohibition, many moonshine runners had tuned up cars to outrun the police. After prohibition, they had no need to run from the police to sell it, so they started racing each other for money and respect. In 1948, a group of men got together in a hotel at Daytona Beach to establish a sanctioning body for these early stock car racing events. That sanctioning body became what we call NASCAR

My great grandfather was actually a rumrunner during prohibition, and my mom calls him Han Solo whenever we talk about him

Fun fact: when prohibition was abolished, the people who ran moonshine in their cars, which were heavily modified to outrun police vehicles, figured the best thing to do with the vehicles was race them, which eventually led to Stock Car Racing.

"I'm gonna let you in on a little secret. I don't pay my taxes."

*This enraged the IRS, who punished Al Severely.*

In *slight* defense of Remus, his wife *had* previously hired a hitman to kill him; the only reason he wasn't killed is because the hitman thought he'd be double-crossed, and instead told Remus about the plan.

They are all terrible people.

19:53 About Remus, it is also worth noting that the wife and her lover actually hired a hitman to kill him. But the hit man ended up not going through and instead warned Remus what his wife was upto. All in all, she got what she deserved.

The fact that he drew every saloon in Kansas differently instead of copying, proves how much we underestimate this lad
