I use this method and it’s quite effective. Concentrate on your right pointer finger taking some control and almost flipping from right to left just as you come to strike the ball.

You need a divot to spin the ball when chipping… unless you are a wizard. This isn’t a one hop stop this is a chip and run with mixed ingredients

You did not demonstrate a "one hop and stop". The ball had multiple bounces and kept rolling. That seems like a normal pitch.
