Master Lock Speed Dial won't open? Here's a how to open and reset a new Master Lock 1500iD Speed Dial™ Lock video. The Master Lock 1500iD uses directional movements of up/down/left/right to open the lock. However, many users have issues with their Master Lock Speed Dial. You can set your combination to any pattern at any length, but make sure you write it down first! No one can recover the lost combination that you came up with. Follow the directions exactly!

How to Open a Master Lock 1500iD Speed Dial:

1. Find the dashed lines at the bottom of the platform
2. Take an exact-o knife and cut through the plastic
3. Take out the instructions out carefully
4. Push the shackle in 2x
5. Use the directional arrows to put in your combination
6. Pull up on the shackle and it should open

Syracuse got it's expected 1 to 2 feet of snowfall today & I went out to grab my snowblower from the shed & the Master Lock gave me a hard time trying to open it due to it being so cold & with snow everywhere. After lubIng up the lock, I couldn't keep it closed for nothing. I went inside, fired up the ol' mac & did a quick search & BAM. My lock is back to normal. Easy-Peezie. Thanks.

OMG thank you so so so so much for making this video. I was testing my new handcuffs that I made myself with this directional lock. Unfortunately while testing the cuffs out I locked myself in with no key in sight! It took my 3 days but i finally opened up a connection to the world wide web to search for an answer. After much searching i finally arrived on your glorious video and quickly got myself out the cuffs. I must have not learned my lesson though because now I'm stuck in the Master Lock 1535 D!!!! please make a video about this lock ASAP this took me 12 hours to write (writing in handcuffs is hard). Wow, I was getting ready to just get another lock since I couldn't even open this one. The video on the websites makes it sound like they come with a standard up/down/left/right combo and then we reset them. But appears that is not the case at all. For those who have bad vibes and reviews on this lock based on locking themselves out, it is counterintuitive in that you want to close it prior to moving the reset lever back down, so knowing this...instead of swearing off of the lock, I recommend they give it a second chance and email the combination that it comes with to themselves. The one it comes with is ALWAYS unique enough to slow criminals and contrary to popular belief their is no need or advantage to resetting unless you have multiples that you want to all have the same combo. Even in that case you have to weigh your options to where if you have a history of the lock getting stuck on you, emailing yourself multiple reminders with subject line of what particular locks lock, that may prove better than just keeping 1 combo. If you can't tell, this is the only lock that I endorse. You can unlock during a power outage and it doubles as a behind the back houdini magic trick.

mine still has the tape blocking access to the rest switch and I closed mine up now it won't open I have no directions to it found it this way what's the default code to open it and make a personal code
