I bought the 600 this past summer and it came with wireless headphones. The $300 savings was what sold me. Great machine, you can’t go wrong with either. Thanks for the videos Gig!

I went ahead and got the 800. I'll never go prospecting, but I just wanted the best. And I thought the 800 would be just that!💖

Nice vid Steve. I had a 800, sold it, now I have a 600, I'll hang onto it. 800, never used the Gold Mode, and eventually, you'll stop tweaking it. 600 runs all 5 channels in multi, performance is equal. And I also use the 10 x 5 Coil Tek coil. Great little coil. Oh, when I bought my 600, it was shipping with the 800 wireless headphones as well as the wired at the time.

My 600 came with the wireless headphones. Minelab runs a Christmas special and includes them with the 600. I found enough treasure to add a pair for waterproof grey ghost. All my upgrades have been paid for with the treasure I have found.

Love both detectors. I have had the 800 for quite a while now and I picked up a used 600 for a backup.

Thanks for the video very interesting, I find the pinpoint mode on 800 gold mode is very precise and I use it a lot in sensitive areas like well kept lawns and gardens to avoid damaging

Looks like the 800 for me. Appreciate your opinions on both machines. 👍

I have the nox600 and the Gold Bug Pro. I prefer the simplicity of both machines more than sufficient. Gold bug pro excellent prospecting and does well on beach n parks. Equinox 600 excellent beach n parks and does well prospecting. If I had to choose just one. I’d have a very hard time deciding simply because their both superb all around !!

I recently got a lightly used Nox 600 from a dealer for $500 out the door with the wireless headphones and a one year warranty. I thought it was a good deal.

Okay well my experience and I know you have had the same I was looking for my neighbors small earring I could not find it in any settings except I had to drop it down into the gold to mode so it would pick it up if I did not have the 800 I would not have had the option to do that I was able to find her earring and she was one happy person

The Equinox and CTX are definitely a difference maker in tough soil and salt water

The Equinox 600 preforms the same as the 800 and will go just as deep as the 800. You will save money too.

If money is the major factor, go 600 but, do the 800 to avoid up grading to the 800.

For just coin & jewelry hunting…..600 hands down ……. 800 is over kill

Steve you should also tell your Subscribers that if they are veteran Minelab will give them a discount for a dd214 form

Good comparison... I do 90% of my hunting on the beach and the 600 and 800 are pretty much the same... have two - one came with the wired headphones and the second came with the wireless... win win for me... also have a AT Max so between the two I have lots of choices... next machine might be the Excaliber but not sure if/when I get into underwater.. love it but it comes with a price!... maybe I'll just save the money and watch you ;)
