Satti was born in Athens, Greece to a Sudanese father and Greek mother. She was raised in Heraklion, Crete. She graduated from Berklee College of Music, she also has a degree in architecture. She started from jazz Music. She is really a diversed and well-educated artist

True artist is she. A wonderful voice, lyrics like a poem. In addition to that Ms Satti is well aware of her musical heritage, which she masterly forms to temporary songs with unique rhythms. In addition to that, Greek is the most beautiful language.

Fun fact: Marina directly references this exact song on her Eurovision 2024 entry Zari. By using the "Ponos Krifos" lyric in Zari maybe they just want to nod OGE, one of the songwriters of both of the songs, or maybe (at least to me) Marina seems to indicate this song is somehow the spiritual predecessor of Zari. Maybe this theory seems too far fetched, I don't know, but it seemed quite curious to me how in this song she is really preoccupied with "Ponos Krifos", the "hidden pain" so to speak as a present state of things in her headspace that is too big to handle. In Ponos Krifos she likely sings about mental instability, walking on a tightrope, unsure about the future and the abrupt changes of life. In Zari, on the other hand, she seems to have processed all that and moved past them, with the lyric stating "I used to have hidden pain" followed by "i let it all out". As if she released the existential pain and agony of this song in Zari and embraces the random and uncertain nature of the future with a clearer view. Other songs of Marina are also referenced in various points of Zari, either musically, lyrically or visually in the video clip, but this one seems the most obvious and direct connection to her previous discography. She is such an interesting, multifaceted and diverse arist that leaves nothing to chance and masters details, and I am so so happy the world gets to meet her at large through Eurovision.
