The beautiful thing about Hermione is that she would’ve actually went with him if he asked. Her friendship is the absolute gold standard

I think the reason he didn’t hug Harry, is because he wouldn’t be able to let go after losing Fred. He lost one brother that he loves, and he doesn’t want to lose someone else he loves as a brother.

I understand why Ron doesn't move or hug him - but we can see a tear rolling down his face. He knows Harry better than anyone, better than even Hermione. And as much as Ron would want Harry to stay, and doesn't want to lose him, he knows that Harry is a selfless person, and nothing he could do or say would convince him to stay. Ron knows that as hard as it is, Harry is doing the right thing for everyone, like always. It would be selfish of Ron to try to make him stay. And Ron is never selfish with Harry. He's a true friend and a good person.

Hermione and Ron would never have let him go in the books. They would have gone with him, and he wouldn't have been able to stop them, which is why he avoided them in the first place.

Hermione doesn't hesitate for a second to be with her best friend, her brother, till the very end. The last thing she would ever want is for Harry to be alone, like she had been growing up prior to meeting Harry and Ron - an outcast. Ron is paralyzed - a future without his brother, his bestest friend, after losing his closest sibling, he's unable to offer an argument, a struggle for Harry to stay, because Harry is fulfilling a promise. And his heart breaks into irredeemable parts at the prospect

0:25 look at Hermione's face, she knew that Harry was one of the horcruxes but didn't want to let Harry know. Such great acting

This trio is true friendship in a way that may not even exist in real life. We know without a doubt in this scene that both Ron and Hermione would have willingly walked with Harry to his death, despite the fact that it would likely mean their own deaths as well, just so he wouldn’t have to face it alone.
Also, knowing that they think they are seeing and speaking to each other for the last time after everything they’ve been through together breaks my heart every time. Ron and Hermione were the first people Harry ever knowingly loved.

At 0:25, you can see Hermione growing more and more afraid of what Harry is going to say next. What's about to happen is starting to hit her, and you can see it on her face. Incredible acting.

I didn't cry when Sirius died, I didn't cry when Dumbledore died, I didn't even cry when Dobby died but the first time I saw this scene in the cinema, I had tears coming out of my eyes seeing Harry saying final goodbyes to his two best friends who he has known since 11 years old and has grown up with!! Still makes me sad even now watching this scene
