2. 'Harry and Dudley's Goodbye' Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 Deleted Scene

It's there that Dudley, who has bullied the Boy Who Lived throughout his entire life, backs down. He shoots his father a curious look and then goes up to Harry, shaking his hand and saying he doesn't think he's a waste of space. The Chosen One then says 'thanks big D', using the same nickname he mocked his relative with during the early stages of the Order of the Phoenix. It's a moment straight out of the source material.

I'm so angry this was deleted. This only helped to prove that Dudley was manipulated by his parents, and really shows how much he's grown as an individual.

This was one of my favorite parts in the books. Dudley had been leaving Harry alone over the years and stopped bullying him ages ago, you could tell he had started to change and was trying to better himself in the background.

The way Dudley’s steps were very coordinated and purposeful walking towards Harry and sloppy and uncoordinated going back to the car was a nice touch on top of this awesome scene.

aww you can tell Dudley wanted to hug Harry and didnt want to leave enemies and family members given enough time and bonding in some way even family members that dont like each other at first will usually have a soft spot for each other and become frenenemies

This is why we need an extended cut of both parts back-to-back. I know there are plenty more scenes still sitting on the cutting room floor. It would be preferable if WBD get their money and resources together, and enter negotiations with David Heyman to make the magic happen!
