Couple says wrong embryos were implanted in IVF mix-up

A New York couple is suing a fertility clinic after they gave birth to someone else's children. The couple claims the clinic knew about the embryo mix-up and tried to conceal it. Meg Oliver reports.

I watched the Savages story on 60 Minutes. I have to say it seems like the other couple, Logan's parents, seemed a little ungrateful and insensitive to how much the Savages were affected and hurting. They didn't even invite the Savages to share in the baby's first birthday, not to mention they last saw him when he was 4 months old (I believe). I was a little disappointed to see that.

This is crazy. The real mothered who birthed him gave him life and has all the pain. The family who just did nothing and got a baby and money out of it just goes on with there life and doesn't care. It's like oh you mean we get another child without us doing anything and money for the settlement And the other family is left heart broken. The family that has them doesn't care about what there going through you can see it in there face and hear in there voice in the interview. This is saddd

I couldn’t imagine going through a whole pregnancy and delivery to find out both babies aren’t mines and I have to give them up. That must’ve been so horrible having to explain to people yes I had my babies but turns out there was a mix up and they weren’t mines. And the couples who babies they were I couldn’t imagine how surprised and upset they must’ve been to find out an unknown woman was carrying their child they didn’t get to experience any of the pregnancy or even prepare for a baby 🤦🏾‍♀️

This is so sad! The couple that had this happen ten years ago (the ones interviewed) knew the baby wasn’t theirs but still carried to term then gave the baby to his rightful parents, they are saints! That is one of the most selfless acts of love I’ve ever seen! To feel a baby move inside of you and grow and see ultrasounds, then give the baby up would be like giving away part of your soul even without biology!

Nope nope nope. I would be slamming them in court till the cows came home. They need to evaluate every child that was produced by that clinic. God forbid someone had a child of mine thanks to this kind of place. Me and the boss almost had to look at this kind of route if we wanted to have kids. We were going to foster before but just before the classes we were blessed with our oldest. This kind of crap is sick.
These two men are stronger then me I would not have been able to keep my cool if this was me. I pray everything works out for them.

With our world constantly being overwhelmed with the sheer number of people in this world, it boggles the mind that IVF is still legal. Yes, it will devastate couples who cannot have babies naturally, but it's only making your family's future generations suffer even earlier than they would due to the overpopulation, lack of resources in the world, etc.
