To know God is to study His Word. That is communion. Daily bread. The Passover meal was symbolic of unleavened Bread (the Law/torn flesh/obey/Moses) the Wine is Christ's (Prophacy/blood/trust/Elijah) together when read we are partaking of God's kingdom. We remain in Him and He within us. Indwelling of the Holy Spirit as sustenance for our soul. That is achieved through the mind with logic, wisdom, knowledge and understanding. Satan uses our hearts and emotions to creep in death, defeat and vacuity. The unleavened bread is the key. Scripture read by your own 2 eyes devouring every day and not being tossed the crumbs or handed select morsels by clergy. The Roman Catholic church began the tradition ritual where this wafer and sip of grape juice supposedly transliterate as consumed into literally His blood and His flesh? Also, if you're living pure the wafer is placed on the tongue by the priest. No wrong. So read these scriptures and see if it makes sense? Cuz God didn't provide His Word so that we could trust and obey "man" but to trust and obey Him.

Remember Joy, God doesn't choose people for salvation, He chooses those who believe in Christ. Just as the Bible states, "believe and you will be saved". The gospel is simple.

Tears in my eyes, and then suddenly I laughed when Pastor MacArthur replied in an unexpected way to Joy’s answer to a desire for obedience, “I do, but I can’t do it on my own strength, ” to which Pastor MacArthur said, “Well of course not, join the club.”

Hearing his kindness and compassion for her extremely relatable questions is one thing, but helping her to not feel alone in that pain and struggle of really fearing whether or not she is saved is extremely powerful
