i think the trend of hoyo making characters that obviously replace older characters is annoying, first Yunli replacing Clara and now, Lingsha replacing Gallagher, at the very least they could have made them different elements to give the roaster more diversity

There's an argument to be made when it comes to break efficiency at e0.

E6 gallagher offers more toughness break in a short period of time to a single target, which is generally speaking more beneficial against bosses since you want to firefly to break/already broken when it comes to her 2nd enhanced.

E1 lingsha is better, but at the cost of 2 5*, I much rather get e2 firefly + gallagher than e0s0 firefly + e1s0 lingsha

My Firefly is E0 and already eats up a lot of SP so i don't need or want a character that is going to eat up even more SP so i'll be sticking with Gallagher. My current teams are E0S1 Acheron, Pela, Guinaifen & Aventurine and Firefly, Ruan Mei, HMC, Gallagher for my second team. I'm currently trying to save for Black Swan and Kafka since no one else interest me aside from maybe Feixiao but im not really a fan of Hunt characters so im not sure and i need more AOE characters, not single target ones since Pure Fiction is the only mode i can't beat (Herta is literally the only good AOE character i have).

Short answer : she is an upgrade but isn't worth your pulls, you are better off getting copies of firefly.

Haven’t watched it yet, but my pre-video guess is strong but not that much stronger than Gallagher.

She is definitely a great improvement to Gallagher at e0 s0. Currently though break teams don’t struggle with sustaining themeselbrd as the enemy barely attack. However in the future with bigger break bars and more cc the bunny aoe cleanse and more frequent healing will be useful

It all depends on 2.6 drip marketing, if they release another good character then I am skipping Lingsha, Feixiao in 2.5 patch with her signature is enough...

Who needs to replace Gallagher to be fair? The only reason someone what cares about meta would think to do so is if they prefer waifus to husbandos. Gallagher is AWESOME in the break team. Sustains well and brings TONS of damage for a sustain.

only reason to pull any abundance for break teams is if they buff the team. her buff is pretty insignificant to maker her worth the pulls

I kinda like the idea of just getting the lightcones og these new characters and putting them on older ones. Already got Yunli's LC for Clara. Getting Lingsha's for Gallagher would also be fun.

If the only break team that I have is firefly then I might have skipped Lingsha and just got her cone. Sadly I'm a new player and only got boothill and ff as DPS and they're both break oriented so running an extra break sustain would help me a lot.

Value wise disregarding feelings if you have 2 limited sustains this pull is bad. If you don’t, it’s an easy decision to opt in.
Also worth noting FF has the highest floor in the game but the ceiling is limited. After you get pass BE threshold, extras hardly gets you anything. All that is to say Lingsha is not needed and won’t give you much. Her biggest value is e1+ FF to spam aoe skill for aoe break.
