I've done this in the winter in 30-50 degrees F. No your hands doesn't get sweaty when it's that cold. It helps keep you a little warmer than no gloves under your perforated gloves but not quite enough to be comfortable.

My hands would be so sweaty they would probably be wet AND cold, no thanks

I've done that, puddles of sweat when the gloves came off but did block the wind

For anyone saying hands will get sweaty. It's called a vapor barrier and it works. Sweat doesn't matter if the moisture can't evaporate, your hands will be toasty and warm. As for dexterity, buy the correct size nitrile gloves.

One of the few hacks I've used that is actually quite effective. I've done this for years now. idk why so many people are slating it here.

simple fix is to put that plastic glove ON TOP of the riding gloves to make them waterproof :)

Question: leaving the gloves more than 2 days (a week, for example) stuffed is going to be more effective or it doesn't matter?

How about just wearing winter gloves..?

It will at least make your hand real sweaty, and the plastic glove will probably bunch up in your palm making the whole ride terrible. Try the Giro H2O gloves instead.

Unconfortable as fuck with the sweat inside plastic glove, no ??! 😳

All fine and dandy until your hands start to sweat.

This wouldn’t work in the New York winters

Instead... Use another thin glove made of wool or cotton cloth

I’ve tried this. It’s not very effective. Buy some winter riding gloves if you’re going to ride in cold weather.
