Jeffrey Mishlove reports on research conducted by Petter Johnstad, from the University of Bergen, Norway, who conducted interviews with individuals who reported experiencing telepathic states while under the influence of psychedelic substances. Most of these individuals were not able to reproduce the experience at will. Several experienced psychological discomfort. However, some found it to be both replicable and enjoyable. The monologue concludes with suggestions for further research.

New Thinking Allowed host, Jeffrey Mishlove, PhD, is author of The Roots of Consciousness, Psi Development Systems, and The PK Man. Between 1986 and 2002 he hosted and co-produced the original Thinking Allowed public television series. He is the recipient of the only doctoral diploma in "parapsychology" ever awarded by an accredited university (University of California, Berkeley, 1980).

In the Doors of Perception, Huxely said something like, the first thing any intelligent person on psychedelics thinks is how to maintain that state without drugs :)

Terence McKenna: “Psychedelic telepathy is you see what I mean. You see what I mean!” Thank you dear Jeffrey to bring up this important topic👍

Ive certainly felt a telepathic connection with other while under altered states. Being a fan of Star Trek I recognized it as mind-melding. Its difficult to put into words how to aptly describe the sensation of having another persons thoughts in your mind or realizing your mind is sending out its thoughts. Its a step along the path of ego disillusionment for sure.

Jeffrey, you are an absolute legend. I cannay refrain from thanking you for this channel any longer. It is my favourite, I'm sure. Thank you for your little reflective questions and for sharing your personal anecdotes. We all feel like we're in the loungeroom with you, having a one-on-one chatter with a scotch... or is that just me ?? Hahaha. You're a marvellous host and the content is lightning mate! Absolutely cracking, I love it all. Rave over.
P.S. for what it's worth, i miss the old intro music; i found it delightfully wyrd, perfect for transporting to said magical loungeroom. ;)

As someone who has served la Madrecita for years I have consistently experienced clairesentience as a facilitator. The alternate sentience provides me with ways of being of service to the community I show up for.

I was involved in meditation since 15 and remain so at 60. In the last 3 years, trusted friends took me on psychedelic journeys. We had prior connection thru meditation. The medicines simply knocks the doors open for hours at a time.

Telepathy experiences between us are common now, in regular waking states and include elements in Nature too.

I like the idea of research using the normal environment of participants. As a retired chemist and program manager, I have NO desire to return to a lab setting. Rather, move the equipment to a nice cabin in the woods, a familiar living room, a forest glade.

Today's miniaturized electronics and recording devices should make this doable.

Finally, as Patanjeli stated in his yoga aphorisms, the medicines are valid entryways but can come at a cost. Use only as directed!

Thank you Jeffrey Mishlove. i think the tone, the atmosphere/environment (including the participants), along with the substance used to share that experience really makes a big impact as to the quality and long lasting sustainability of it. but i feel like i do know the type of experience you are speaking of and find it rather bonding ... these memories and these people stick with us on a whole nother level . i think we need less judgement on this subject as a whole.

Gràcies mestre! My personal experience with telepathy is entangled with two elements, jet lag and cannabis. I travel from Australia to Europe once a year and it hits me every time. First time I though I was having paranoia and it turned up to be true, I was paranoid because I was experiencing telepathy and was aware of it, as Charles Manson said, the coyote is the most aware creature there is..because he is completely paranoid 👀. I could even command my mum and brother around the house. When in that state, thoughts pop up in my mind (like my dad was abused as a child) and then it turned up to be true. With the time I’ve learnt to stay focused and enjoy the mind altered state and get as much info as I can, I don’t care of being mind naked btw. Have a nice day guys!

When I was in a painful "bad" trip several months ago, me and my friend who was tripping with me had shared thoughts that we later confirmed. It wasn't at all uncomfortable as if someone was reading my mind, but rather as if we had one mutual mind.

Even now I feel I can read people's and animals minds without any problem.
Once on lsd I even had a telepathic conversation with the morning birds.. they were very excited to be communicating with a human and explained to me that they, the birds are the global communicators of information.. and that there is much unrest and worry in the world about current human activity...

It was threatening at first... then I became fascinated. The other guy was just as excited as me that we shared that experience. This is now my dedicated work when I sit with mother aya.

Tepleèpathy lol.. One of the most vivid times in my life was when I ate mushrooms and experienced a telepathic intelligent conversation with people on Mars. It was the craziest thing ever lol. Their transmissions were louder and more clear than my own thoughts, and they confirmed that they were locked into my transmissions. It felt so easy and natural to do, AND psychedelic! :D

Could psychedelic drugs be the tool the ancients used to assist with seeing into the cosmos and into the body on a microscopic level?

I have definitely been in other peoples heads or 'connected to them' while on shrooms, but I seem to get in that state with the right amount (not too much) of alcohol too. I think you are right about relaxation being key.

I'm 46 years old. In my youth I experimented with liberty cap mushrooms and became aware of a telepathic link between me and my fellow trippers.. on one experience I think we confirmed the existence of a telepathic link..
Whilst tripping I asked my friends to stop by a bush covered with hundreds of leaves. I asked them to choose and concentrate on one leaf on the bush and after the count of three to point at the leaf they had chosen... I had already chosen my leaf and slowly counted to 3..
To all our complete amazement we all pointed our fingers at exactly the same leaf on the bush... out of the hundreds of leaves in front of us we all chose the same one... if that's not telepathy then you are ignorant....

I've had a number of experiences in Peru and elsewhere. Words cannot describe it. Approach with caution, it can be ecstatic and terrifying, but confronting fear, especially of one's own mortality, can be life changing.
