New Thinking Allowed host, Jeffrey Mishlove, PhD, is author of The Roots of Consciousness, Psi Development Systems, and The PK Man. Between 1986 and 2002 he hosted and co-produced the original Thinking Allowed public television series. He is the recipient of the only doctoral diploma in "parapsychology" ever awarded by an accredited university (University of California, Berkeley, 1980).

My recommendation (a fool's advice may be worth 2 cents or less)
Keep the free content free, if you can. Taking away what was once freely given is one of my least favorite bizdev models, and may taint the open-hearted/open-source branding that you have already established.
However there are a number of ways to collect membership money and have fun doing so. One major contribution could be to host a live online conference with member discount, wherein multiple guests could give panel discussions, present their latest work (peer reviewed scientific paper track?), engage viewers directly w Q&A, and even take part in flipped-interview/open discussion format with you and each other. Possible training workshops and PK parties can be included.

I think you should keep your interviews free so as not to turn off old fans but create new documentaries featuring excerpts from multiple interviews as a premium offering. Whether you charge a monthly subscription or a one time purchase for these offerings, you should also have an online application process for those who can’t afford it. In effect, you would be continuing your donations-based model but with a stronger “nudge” to donate.

I’ve been watching you since you were on PBS and I used to get the VHS tapes from the library. You introduced me to so many authors and ideas. Before I moved into my van, I held salons based on NTA - sometimes we would discuss the work of a few of the authors.
