All this time, I was looking for this song, I thought it was just an orchestral version of Empress of Fire, so I spent so long searching, "Empress of Fire Orchestra" and the like, when one day I see "Orlais theme." "Probably something else, but let's click on it." Of course.

this is perfect. taking over from Inon Zur is huge, and i'm glad Bioware picked Trevor Morris for the score! he did an amazing job. His melodies are powerful and very catchy. A++++

The event with the Empress just screamed French nobility, and the games they would play amidst their grandeur. I loved it, gave me shivers and kept me on edge the entire time, I literally thought there was a good chance I could die LOL

I think they got the name Orlais from Orleans, sounds close. Since Orleans was one of the biggest _duchés_ in France in the royal era

Do you know the feeling of having had a song constantly playing inside your head for years (almost a decade now) and having no idea where it's from? I thought that it was from Harry Potter or something like it and now finally, years later, I realize it was the Orlais theme song from when I first played Dragon Age Inquisition. This might seem kinda stupid but for me it has been momentous step into accesing hidden knowledge stored deep in my brain. This was as big a revelation as I could've imagined. Thank you Youtube for putting this in my recommended videos. As of today I know what song has been playing constantly inside my head for the last 7 years or so.
