Great video brother! Glad I found your video as I was going to send my MJ A Star is Born SI to CGC, but now knowing PSA is going to start grading these, totally changes my thinking.

You need to do a deep dive into PSA's guarantees, or lack of on autographs and authenticities they do. You might be sticking with CGC

Watching your videos as "the" source for graded magazine for my consumption. Thank you for your enthusiasm 🙏. However, just a heads up. PSA does not have a 9.5 grade and only go as high as 8.5 in the half increment.

My walls are covered in SportsCards Magazine Famous Covers.... mixed in with alot of my Other collection of wall hangers.. plus all the ones I've Framed that I don't have room for wall space . but they are framed for Future Sale... ive been waiting on this.. Game changer Brad! I expect the collector base for graded sports magazines to expand exponentially. Goldin Auctions is also increasing awareness. Next step - larger slabs for Baseball Magazine, Sporting News, Life, Rolling Stone, etc.

Thanks for putting all this info out Brad. I'm older and have resisted getting into social media, so you're really my only source. Gotta agree with PSA labels being butt ugly. Of course they know their labels aren't popular, so you'd think they'd take this opportunity to improve it. Breaks my heart they won't grade oversized mags. And who's happier than Scott Smith, the SI King today?!

Great video! One minor detail…PSA does not do 9.5 for sports cards. Goes from 10 to 9. Beckett and SGC do have 9.5.

I've been waiting for years to grade a Gretzky signed magazine for years, hopefully there will be a final one-stop shop, PSA or CGC who could grade both magazine and authenticate the auto as well.

Totally agree with you about the grading scale. The 9.2, 9.4, 9.6 business is silly. Go with half-grades and simplify all of our lives.

I estimate about 10 million sports card collectors in North America, while there are probably less than 5, 000 sports magazine collectors. If we could only get that number up to 100, 000 and we would be rolling. PSA will help with that goal.

PSA Will always be for cards, GCG will always be for comics and magazines. The difference will be what company shows up at the national and will WITNESS autographs.

Awesome news, B-rad! Just a day or so after CGC announced the JSA deal?? I've only sent in 1 magazine to CGC grading, so this announcement is big for us. Not a PSA fanboy, but they do dominate the grading space. HUGE day for mag collectors.
