The fact that they showed grown men hearing that statement/saw the amber alert and instantly becoming concerned, to the point of calling the police, was kind of heart warming after rewatching it. One person had a gun out, which makes sense because you don’t know what the kidnapper might carry. The person driving the vehicle followed them, (potentially, considering the plotline) while calling the police. The first two people were doing double takes to ensure that was the right person, ect ect.

Idk, it’s a dumb phone ad anyways, but still.

I remember that one. Anyone can be a predator. Male/female it does not matter and anyone can be a concerned citizen. I lived in NYC I almost got mugged by some guy clean shaven in a suit in the subway and I used to get walked home by the guys two blocks down who carried my groceries and laundry when they saw me struggle who looked like a bunch of gang bangers or dealers but they had a heart of gold. They wouldn’t let me walk home alone because they had sisters in that neighborhood too and they looked out. Never judge a book by its cover. Even the devil was the most beautiful and beloved angel once upon a time.

It always amazes me how many people don’t want to believe women can also be abusers. Kidnappers (and other crims) come in all shapes and sizes. I’m the daughter of a narcissist and our mother has single-handedly destroyed our family, yet outsiders would never think this of her because she’s a “mother”. Point is, people of all walks of life are capable of horrific things, women included.
