The stomach has the same microscopic, structural layout as the other parts of the gastrointestinal tract but its epithelium is very special. What is the hydrochloric acid for and why does it not damage the stomach?

Sir I'm suffering from stomach diahhrea for 4 years continuously and visited a lot of doctors but they didn't actually diagnosed.initially they say it is celiac disease.now they say it may be tropical sprue
