After talking to a few animation majors, I think it's worth noting on that degree that (at least at the universities in my general area) animation is a HIGHLY competitive major. Like it's hard to even stay in the major because it's so ridiculously competitive O_O and you end up seeing your peers as enemies more than peers. But if you can handle the heat it's probably fairly good at least in terms of art degrees :3

Lots of hate in the comments. I’m sure they’re all physicists and chemists to be criticizing, right? 🤔

I would say UX/UI or Product Design, Web Design, Visual Design, Art Direction, Creative Direction, Marketing Management, and 3D Artist makes the most.

I think this video is kinda unfilfulling? Art degrees are often about application and knowing how to do things. I've been taught that it doesnt matter what your degree is titled as if you learn the skills. At the same time, this video doesnt explain what medium or technique would get you a job. Animation programs for instance arent always taught with 3D programs, like many industries are making it the standard. This video is just comparing the salary and stats without any of the depth or what you actually do.

He researched this in less then 24hrs 🤣😅. I love art but not something I’ll go to college for, most of those degrees you can learn by finding someone who is willing to teach you in private as an apprentice 🤷🏽‍♀️.

what is your opinion on double majoring/double minoring(if that's correct English lol) I've thought about doing a minor but didn't know if double majoring would be more beneficial

Architecture is a 5 year degree so take this into consideration. Also you could've added, Web Designer as an art not really computer science required. Graphic Design. Human Computer Interaction which basically leads to a job in UX Design.

I love the 1337 and 9001 easter eggs in your "make sure to subscribe" intro 😂😂😂

I know it is broadly covered by digital design but what about web design, UX/UI design etc..? Because they make you learn front end web development and programming (at least at my university) it should be a separate entry I think.

I love art and do wanna make it my career, but I am not going into student debt to get a bachelor's degree in it and waste 4 years of my life and money. The most I'll be doing is getting a certification which is cheap and at least better than just a highschool diploma and the classes will actually be useful to me and I'm getting my money's worth. Although do you think certifications in general are worth it or should someone still reach for that degree? I'm curious but not sure if you've answered this question already

as a designer for 10 years now, I can say you can actually make more than what is listed here depending on how many years of experience you have and what skills you have.. trust me there are art jobs where you make 100k a year and even 180k a year ... experience is the key and your skills not really a degree most of the time .... the more you can do besides making things look pretty, the higher your pay
