I'm relieved and surprised at how well this came together. I've been replacing gaskets and float valves, but the problem was the water supply line, and the valve eventually gave out too. Completely intimidated by changing a wall supply valve, but this was as easy as connecting a garden hose to a faucet. And no leaks! We'll see if it holds up.

Just used it. Diy made easy. Less than 5 mins and toilet was working again.

Before you cut the pipe, take a small scrap piece of pipe and mark the insertion depth onto that, and then put that short length of pipe beside the pipe you are about to cut. make sure you have enough pipe exposed to be able to grab the pipe firmly with your hand when you push the valve onto the pipe. Usually, people cut off too much pipe, then when they try to push the valve onto the pipe then end up pushing the pipe into the wall because the pipe is a flexible plastic.

I love these but it just feels weird that you can rotate them after they are installed

On the video you have a tool that marks the depth but what is the depth? Is it 1 inch?

Why not take it one step further and just have end to end push connect from floor connection to the toilet tank instead of having a threaded interconnection? At least on the one end. So basically, you thread tighten under the tank and then have one integrated fitting to push connect on the floor connection. This reduces the chance of leak.

Is the trim ring necessary if the fit is too tight (pipe out of floor to toilet)? There is room for the 1 inch for the valve but I'm concerned the trim ring might not be allowing the valve to fully go on. I turned the water on and all is good so far :)

Does that work for PEX-A, B, & C?

But what if I don't have an extra foot of pipe sticking out of the floor (WTH!?) and already have a stop valve installed that needs replacing??

Is anyone else bothered that the pipe was cut so close to the floor? No margin of error or recut if needed in the future.

What if your stub is copper? Can it work as well as PEX?

How does the valve turn on a faucet connector?

Is it necessary to deburr PEX pipe?

Your guy cuts it, marks it, and installs it. No deburr?

Can this be removed for replacement in the future without cutting the pipe again? The reason I ask is because at some point, the supply line coming out the floor or wall will not be long enough if it has to be cut again.
