Undercoating My Truck for Under $60! Rustoleum Stop Rust Review

Hey! Thanks for checking out the video! I personally think this undercoating worked wonders for the truck! I used 8 cans of Rustoleum Stop Rust.
Prep work took the longest as it should.

Looks good! In Canada where cars dissolve from salt, we use 1 part penetrating oil, 1 part 80w 90 gear oil, and 2 parts transmission fluid. Doesn't wash off and absolutely stops rust instantly.

I like running a air needle scaler when cleaning the underbody of any vehicle. Just make sure to buy good safety glasses and even better earplugs lol. Those scalers seem to be the best when going over the spots that have that flaky rust, and the hard to reach areas that’s too tight to get a wire wheel in there. You mentioned something about you’re worried about your cab corners going bad and rust out? If they haven’t rusted out already then they will eventually if you don’t do this trick. Just grab a cordless drill and a 1/8” drill bit, slide under your truck and drill maybe three holes directly underneath each cab corner but get ready for the flood lol. Usually if the cab corners aren’t already eaten up with rust, they’ll have a bunch of water built up and the moment you pop the first hole, you’ll have water running into your armpit.

That scaly rust - you need to use a needle scaler. They're the shit for the rust scale, and you can get into some pretty tight spaces with them.
