Counters DO exist, but not to the extent that people say they do. A rein will always struggle against pharah, and genji will always struggle against Moira, that’s just how it goes

he means, stop using "countered" as an excuse to blame teamates. you're not losing your games because someone doesn't play a character YOU think they should play. obviously some heroes are better against certain picks, but it's not the end all be all.

The message is encouraging and I agree with the sentiment, but obviously some heroes are better at some things than others. I don't think there are "hard" counters though, but I think there's a spectrum of countering things. Some interactions make you have to play to perfection whereas others have more forgiveness.

I am a low GM support player and counter picking doesn't mean you can't play a character, but it means you'll have a harder time
