Join me on one of the world's most luxurious and exciting train journeys. The Rocky Mountaineer train across the Canadian Rockies, from Banff to Vancouver. I'll show you exactly what it's like to travel on this private train, from the dining to where I sleep and even the outside viewing deck! It's a trip like none other, and is widely regarded as Canada's most luxurious train. I'm in what's called Gold Leaf today, but there is also Silver Leaf offered.

We'll start in the gorgeous town of Banff and you'll join me every step of the way, First Class, all the way to Vancouver. Now of course this experience doesn't come cheap, but i'll explain exactly how I booked, and how much I paid.

0:00 - Intro
1:07 - Gold Leaf Class
2:42 - Breakfast
4:00 - Viewing Platform

10:14 - Day Two

Hi Will: Thanks for creating and sharing this video. This is a great video souvenir of our trip last week. It was great to meet with you. Keep well. Cheers, Keith & Karen Pinn (Seats 59 & 60).

I took the Rocky Mountaineer on the reverse ride just two weeks ago and one of the things that was of great use to me is something that you did not mention at all - that is there is a lift in each car for those who have trouble navigating the narrow spiral staircase. The crew is always eager to help in this regard. So going to the dining car or to the washroom is no trouble at all. Th lift can even accommodate wheelchairs. Good job Rocky Mountaineer!

When I worked in the travel industry, I booked this for my parents in Gold Leaf 🍁, they thoroughly enjoyed the journey and remarked that it was the best rail journey they had ever done. It’s definitely something I’d love to replicate, thanks Will 👍🏻

Done it in Summer and Winter. Due to daylight, more views in Summer but the Winter crossing was magical. Crawling at 5mph to avoid triggering an avalanche was an eye opener.

Hi, we went on this train in June /22 and enjoyed it immensely. The magnificent scenery, comfort, exquisite food and friendly, accommodating staff and meeting of new friends have truly made this a memorable trip. A bit on the expensive side but something you should experience and add to your bucket list. My wife and I had taken a 13 day Alaska cruise and land tour before picking up the train in Vancouver. This train excursion didn’t end up in second place as the scenery and service blended seamlessly into the best vacation we have ever taken. This turned out to be the trip we had hoped for as our reservation had been cancelled upon the pandemic setting in, but we’ll worth the 2 year wait

The Rocky Mountaineer really did look like an incredible experience. The weather and the sights were just perfect, and the train and crew seemed like grade A service. Beautiful look to the train and even without rooms aboard the social experience is nice for people open it. Not like your having a social dinner on a New York subway train. Marvelous video, Canada is beautiful.

Love all your videos! You do such a fantastic job with all of them. I believe I’ve watched them all and enjoyed them all immensely. I turned 80 yrs old yesterday and am severely disabled and my traveling days are over. But you make it seem as though I’m traveling with you!! Thanks so much for that!!

My wife has been saying for years she wanted to take a train from Vancouver to Banff. We did it in a Gold Leaf car a month ago and it was fantastic. Being a photographer it was a target rich environment from the colorful graffiti in Vancouver thru the Canadian Rockies to Lake Louise. The food was incredible. My favorite drink was a hot chocolate with Baileys made to perfection. Be aware that there will be numerous stops due to opposing freight trains, especially the Kamloops to Banff portion. The staff was outstanding. The narrative during the trip with the historical points of interest and advisories of upcoming photo ops and going out on the open deck frequently kept us entertained. Meeting new people at breakfast and lunch was very enjoyable. We ate with people Great Britain, Australia and Taiwan. In the future we will definitely take another Rocky Mountaineer trip on a different breathtaking journey.

I’m from Calgary Ab, go to Banff often, and I’d just like to say thank you for showing people around the world how beautiful this province is. I just got back from my anniversary in Canmore and we watched a ton of your videos while we were away and came home to see this. Keep going! Thank you for the great content 😊 I’d love to see you exploring the towns

Bringing back very happy memories of the first visit to Canada, travelling Gold leaf, spotting bears and coyotes. Actually moved to Canada just a few months later, based on this experience supposedly for 6 months and stayed 6.5 years 😁

I was just talking to my wife about this train on our drive from Calgary to Vancouver, something I think will be doing in the near future, thanks for the video. The drive from Vancouver to the interior of BC is just as incredible, following the Fraser River. It truly is a beautiful place to live.

My wife and I went on this amazing train . We will never forget the good time we had. The staff and service were beyond the highest standard like Diamond class not gold one. I will do it again one day . Thank you Rocky Mountaineer for an unforgettable journey . Jose from Melbourne Australia.

Just returned from Australia, and the journey from Sydney to Perth on the Indian Pacific. Fabulous. The Gold Service cabin was comfortable and spacious. The Outback Explorers lounge was where we spent most of our time... a real treat to watch Australia pass by the windows. The young lady making the specialty coffee really knew her barista craft... The Adelaide Restaurant fare was pretty much over the top... pretty much the same quality as a top restaurant anywhere in the world... and the service... well it was just fabulous. We were one of two American couples on board, the rest were Aussies (Aussies are fun). Highly recommend.

This trip is moving towards the top of my list. The first class experience is what I’d expect. It’s a shame there aren’t sleeper cars. I think the experience of sleeping on a train would be fun. Thanks for showing off all the train has to offer.
