This type of stuff annoys me. You can't expect developers to not ignore Android over iOS when you yourself are ignoring Android to support iOS. That's the type of stuff that gives us really unoptimized tablet apps on Android

I would love for Google to add lock screen Widgets on Pixels. That Google lens one in particular looks very convenient.

Life long android user (currently Pixel 6). Probably going to try iPhone. Never liked it, but I've had enough with Google. EVERYTHING is a beta test with them. Features come only to go. They start something and cancel it next month. Bugs never fixed. They just close your ticket with the next update without fixing it, assuming it went away.

It doesn’t surprise me. Googles apps usually run better on iPhones than on android devices in my experience.

They made the "Nearby Traffic" widget for Maps on iOS long before I saw it on Android as well.

Google out here making the iPhone better while apple doesn’t care about adding rcs into the iMessage

google assistant would be perfect as a widget. The voice search cant be used for reminders to the google calendar.

Google has been do it for years, I remember because in 2014 have a iPhone and some G. app have more functions in iOS than Android. This is one's of reasons to make me admire Samsung One IU, they put so much effortless there then I honestly use more Samsung apps than Google apps. Samsung Browser, Galery, Calculator, Email, Calendar a lot of Widget made from Samsung etcetc. Google take this decisions to make consumer's keep using Google Services and then they win more cash with ad's.

If Google wants to bring iOS style Lock Screen Widgets to Android 14 then the easiest thing could be to just add WearOS complications support on Android lock screen.
WearOS complication looks and acts exactly like iOS 16 lock screen widgets.
