No Man's Sky is the greatest comeback story in videogames and I really hope Internet Historian makes an update video for it. Hello games has earned people's respect by not abandoning the game and actually listening to player feedback. Every game dev should be taking notes.

I bought it at launch and thought it was boring, but I didn't refund it. Going back to it now I am absolutely amazed at what Hello Games has accomplished. They should truly be proud of what they have built. I am a supporter of all their future projects.

Also note that NMS Expeditions are active for 6 weeks but can be completed in a few days, you do not need to commit to them for the entire 6 weeks, unlike some Battle Passes in other games that require you to monogame in order to complete them.

Man I remember people making YouTube videos breaking down every interview the lead developer had made, talking about his body language, how he was lying, signs that we missed, etc. And now I hear nothing but positive things about the game. It really is a lot of fun! They deserve all of their success

Playing since the horrible launch in 2016 and NMS will forever be the best redemption story in gaming history for me. I always jump in and out over the years and im absolutely loving this new update.. its the best game to just chill and do stuff without stressing

Makes sense that they test and iterate on tech that they will use in their next game. They can already get sales from it, players are happy, and the new game has less technical risk.

It is a great game, but one has to like the genre to appreciate it.

Everything is randomized out of possibilities and the same assets can be re-used by different quests. There is a lack of meaning to everything, but if one enjoys exploring, managing, building and crafting and cooperating there is fun to be had.

But for what it is, it is a wonderful game that got redeemed.

you wanna know how good nms is? the initial trailer looks worse than the product we have, not just visually. the biggest thing from the trailer we lack is more diverse creature interactions

Funnily enough I was a lot more forgiving on the original release then i would normally be for most games, while it had tons of issues, I did appreciate how ambitious it was and at the time I knew they were a small studio and took their claims with a massive grain of salt.

developing a game is hard enough, now you have to work even harder to undo its bad rep and they've stuck with it for 8 fucking years, what a huge achievement

It is now arguably one of, if not the best space exploration game out there. I've been playing on and off since day 1 and I'm so glad Sean and his team never gave up on this gem. It really is an incredible come back story.

NMS is so much better now, and to think all of these major updates in the past 8 years have been free. Other companies would have made them DLCs.
