You can do pinch harmonics using the middle and neck pickups. You just have to have your pickhand if right handed on the left side of the pickups and if your left handed then to the right side of the pickups.

I worked out how to do this accidentally when I was a teenager, but thank you for explaining how it works! I also didn't know you could change with your picking position!

Make sure you are tilting the pick, it's not like a regular strum you are almost trying to "slice" the string.

Omg this actually helped i saw another video telling me to make a triangular shape between my finger and pick but that didnt work, I subscribed man!

Additionally, I always found adding adding a bit of picking angle for the harmonic helps (I just checked and found myself pretty close to 45 degrees when I do it)
