When my old band recorded our demo, I ended up having to record all of the pinch harmonics myself. Just the pinch harmonics. My other guitarist played everything else perfectly fine, but just couldn't do those for some reason. It was bizarre just sitting there listening to a song and just every now and then playing a single pinch harmonic.

I've personally found that pinch harmonics are like 60% guitar setup, and 40% technique.
You can have all the technique in the world, but if your guitar is set up poorly, you wil just struggle and struggle.
I was lucky enough to get to see Dennis Stratton live many years back, and it was watching and speaking with him that taught me the technique, but I still struggled.
It wasn't until I spoke to him again months after that he mentioned guitar setup, and ever since I've had absolutely no issues finding the pinch when I needed/wanted it.

I never put that much practice into them but I can usually pull a sexy one. Makes me happy

This is good, when I first started trying to get them I just heard ocean planet by gojira in 2017 and knew there had to be a way to get them perfect everytime like them. At the time I met with a music teacher (dude in his late 60's) and he knew what they were but told me they are not something that can be done consistently and were more of a luck based note. I obviously scoffed and proceeded to practice alone until I got them down after 3 months of nonstop pick adjustments and practicing atleast 5 hrs a day. Thank you Gojira!

I don't know if I should just roll with bad pinch harmonics and continue the song or do the repeatedly hitting the string until I get it perfect thing.

at first yes xD later of 1000 tries it gives the result of expectation, but almost anyone borns learned or master in all xD
