Love your story! Back in 1980 thru 82, I worked at a car wash that at every lunch time, I would go pick up lunches, usually Lee's famous fried chicken dinners for $1.65 ea and Hurry back so we all could sit up front in lounge and owner, Lou Wolf would turn on PAUL HARVEY and we enjoy lunch as we listened and learned!! As humble n simple as this sounds....it was some of the very best times in my life and I dearly miss those days! 😢 I had the world in my hands and I didn't know

I could listen to "The Rest of the Story" all day. Paul Harvey is no longer with us, but his stories and his gift for storytelling will live forever.

I will never forget the sponsorship advertisement at the conclusion of the show. "Paul Harvey news and comment brought to you by Wells-Lamont, the company stubborn about quality". I find my self saying that phrase all the time! Great memories!😊

As a youngster I would play with my toys on my grandparent's floor as we listened to The Rest Of The Story. Those were the best days of my life and I had no idea.

I timed my commute home every day to make sure I was on the road when Paul Harvey delivered "The Rest Of The Story". The pictures that Mr. Harvey painted were so colorful and vivid, much brighter than any television broadcast could deliver. A truly great American.

Back in 1984 when I was in high school, I took a blueprint reading class. My teacher kept a portable radio on his desk, and every day we would listen to The Paul Harvey Show during class-time.

Thank you, LORD Jesus, for your voice through Paul Harvey. All wisdom comes from our Creator through the reading of the Holy Bible.

Gosh, I'm old enough to miss this incredible man's radio show! So much wisdom! So much truth for democracy....altho I don't think he was thinking about that at the time!

as a person that lives in Ag country, we ALWAYS stopped what we were doing at 730 AM for sure at noon and again at 530 PM every word the late great Paul Harvey would say I wanted to hear. Rest in peace Mr. Harvey. Great American ! will never forget the sign off "Good (pause) Day"
