Ok, here me out! Hasbro & WOTC have realized their strongest selling format only benefits resales i.e. LGS, tcgplayer, eBay, ect.. so with Foundation making it debut soon, and being standard legal until 2029. The banning of High end commander cards can kill the format and turn player off, bringing everyone back to standard with a larger player base than we had 10 years ago. Hence WOTC saying the rules committee is separate from R&D and mtg in general. It's a long con by hasbros marketing team! Don't but the lie!

I only play casual/friendly decks vs similar minded people and I can tell you my Dockside and Lotus will stay in my deck(s). These cards, mainly Lotus, have been selling points and now they ban them? The Wizards rules committee can suck on a fat one

So IMO this is ABSOLUTELY horrible for the format (except for Nadu) these powerful cards are what made high powered EDH fun and interactive and enjoyable. I’ve played against more turn 1 mana crypts than I can count and it has literally NEVER bothered me.

This banlist (which I won’t be following) comes down to tables being incapable for self regulating themselves and having proper conversations.

Not to mention I heard that a bunch of stores dumped their inventory before this announcement.

This was a massive mistake. I don't really have an opinion on Nadu. Don't have one and I haven't played against one. But the others were not needed to be banned at all. My Dockside leveled the playing field for my boros deck. I have only one mana crypt for my one cedh deck and now its banned. Not cool. I'm not a fan of banning cards at all, but this is certainly absurd.
