I still LOVE my ipad9th generation that I bought new in 2021. I draw (professionally) on it all the time. You don"t really need anything else. Perfect size at 10.2 " screen.

I have a 6th gen. I use it for music production, and it’s fine. I smashed it last week by accident, and found out it was 149 to repair. Soooo thanks to Best Buy having a 9th gen iPad for 199, I get to upgrade for 199 instead of a 149 repair. Victory!

Bought it yesterday, just needed an upgrade from my 9.7inch iPad pro (from 2016) that decided to die after 8 years. So far it's pretty nice!

People do these videos like it’s crazy or something. It’s only 3 years old, it’s only one year older than the 10th generation one. I know it has the older design so I guess people keep thinking that this iPad is really old or something, but it’s still kind of modern and it’s getting all the new updates.

I have had the 9th generation iPad since 2021 since it’s release and it works perfectly fine, does the job. I watch Netflix and YouTube and it’s Great

Thank you, for this excellent quick overview of Apple's basic iPad 9th generation. My current iPad, is the basic iPad 9th generation model with 256GB and the cell data option. If this is someone's very first iPad (after Apple's major price reduction), I no longer recommend this version but, instead suggest new buyers pick-up the basic iPad 10th generation model. However, if this is not your first (for myself this was my third iPad) basic iPad then you maybe like myself. I prefer the basic iPad 9th generation because, of its older classic style and design, still has a home button, still has a wired headphone jack, works with my already owned Lighting adapters (for a digital camera, SD card reader, etc.) and my Apple 1st generation pencil, and it supports Apple's "Center Stage" function. In addition, the iPad 9th generation also supports both a physical SIM card or an electronic SIM card (smile ... smile).

had mine since may of this year, honestly the perfect school and travel buddy! it does everything i need it for and i honestly wouldn't want to spend more money just for the usb-c, i can live with bringing two cables around all the time 😂😂 (i have the iphone 15 now, but back when i got my ipad i was still using my iphone 11)
