Just a tip. You should do the thumb last so it’s easier to apply the other nails. I use to wear press ons a lot and that’s what I read in the instructions. ❤❤❤

I can't believe yours stay on so well when u hold it for such a short time. I use the brush on glue & paint my entire nail ( like
polish) & coat the fake nail too. I hold them for 30 seconds. I do mine before bed, so they cure overnight. Mine stay 2+ weeks!!😊

Tip:
The glue should tac up before you press and hold. Apply to the nail without spreading, set the nail on, slide forward and back to spread the glue, set in place and hold. The glue needs that bit of air.

Modern press ons are severely underrated. They are not your grandmother's press ons.

So many advantages to them.

If you use another fake nail instead of cuticle pusher it works better since it’s thinner. It can squeeze between your real and fake nails

Inflation has even hit the nail salons. It costs me like $75 w/tip & tax these days for a good acrylic mani in my city (Phoenix) so I’m really glad I came across this video. I’m inspired to finally do my own. Was intimidated before but you make it look super doable! Thanks

To make removal a tad easier, I suggest a peel off base gel such as Makartt or JelloJello. I change my nails every week so I cannot speak on holding power past 7 days but during the week I do have nails on there was no lifting or popping off. A peel off base is economical too since you don’t destroy the press-on during the removal process and you can get a second wear out of them with a little filing to remove the nail glue.

I’m back with an update! I previously stated I was doing my own dip nails at home; but after watching this video I decided to try the glue on nails. The #1 reason I decided to switch was because the dip nails do a lot of damage when you are trying to pry them off your fingers yourself. So I bought a cheap glue on nail from Amazon. After 3 hours they fell off so I decided to fork over the money and buy the brand recommended here, glamnetic nails. The short nails were stilll way too long for me so I cut all the nails down to just above the finger. FAST FORWARD a week I had to replace 2 nails that came loose but that’s it. I am now happily reporting at week #3 they are still on and going strong! One of my thumb nails had to be replaced today and I went ahead and bought my next kit of nails. Thank you to the video maker. I ended up buying a little electric nail drill to slowly buff the inside of the nail before I glue it on.

This is literally a compliment on your purple 💜 press on nails after a month...they only look like you need a fill in at the salon. ❤❤ Last week, I spent a lot of $$ at the salon for a simple manicure polished french that chipped off within 3 days. My press ons with gel tabs instead of glue have already lasted longer.

my biggest problem when I wear press ons for more than a day or two is when they start coming up and then your hair gets stuck under them when you touch your hair and it pulls and hurts so bad 😅 yours look so good though! I’m writing down some tips from your video 😄

Very helpful. Thanks so much! I’m new to press-on nails and only have used the no glue/adhesive tab ones so far. You’re giving me the confidence to try the glue on!

I've been applying press ons for many years. I agree the prep is key. I do all the same things but I wash my hands and nails with warm water and dish soap after removing the old ones.

I use glue and mine last over a month and I can never get them off without destroying them. I buff them really good with a coarse file use my drill to buff the inside of the nail and wipe with alcohol they will not come off

Update: found a way to get them off without messing up my press ons. Warm water mixed with acetone

Your video is very informative. I have to say I can get mine to last about 3 weeks. I love how natural they look on your hand. Thank you for sharing

I love the olive and June nails!!! So cute and they last forever!!! I used to wear the kiss glue on nails but they just have square cuticle ends and my cuticles are more rounded which is perfect for the olive and June nails!!! And they are thicker in the cuticle area and in the tips!! ❤😍🥰

I have never tried press on nails but I'm going to now. Manicures are sooo expensive and I would much rather pay for a pedi than a mani. Love you sweet baby in the background!!
