Yes filing the press on nail is SUCH a necessity to make them fit ur nails perfectly omg!! BUT I’ve also been using this brush on nail glue!!! It works like a GEM and much less messy than applying the stick glue directly onto ur natural nail! Instead, all YOU do is apply the glue to ur natural nail (it comes in a bottle exactly like nail polish) SO u just brush it on ur natural nail as if it was a top coat!! THEN only put the stick glue or whatever glue the press ons come with in the package, apply it onto the press on nail then put it right on top of ur nail, hold down for five seconds or so and BOOM lasts all fucking month 😭😭💪🏽 it’s a game changer so glad I found that at Walmart of all places!!! 🤭❤💅🏾

I’m def going to try the warm water method when I apply my next set! My 3 middle fingers are basically the same size & I usually file down a larger size for one of them. I don’t always love the results so having other options is so helpful. Tysm!!

I do this without hot water very gently before applying. I do it whether the nail fits good or not just to loosen it up a little for comfy fit.

I have the opposite problem. My sidewalls are deep and I have to pinch the nail to curve more. I like short tips, but they're always too flat. I don't like long nails, but the curve is always better.

Glad I saw this, late vs never. I just re did my nails in polygel (again) after giving up yet again, on the press ons. I would rather have press ons I can take on&off. Been doing my own polygrl nails using the paper nail forms. I do have the stuff for dual form application but thats still a little more messy and not as mistake proof for me yet
