What day was Jesus crucified? Was it Wednesday, Thursday or Friday? Historically the church has believe that Jesus was crucified on Friday, hence the holiday Good Friday. However, many scholars have strong biblical support to suggest that Jesus was actually crucified on another day of the week, namely Wednesday or Thursday. I was brought up to believe it was Friday bcoz of my Catholic background... However, after being born again, and studying the scriptures, THE HOLY SPIRIT revealed so much that was in plain sight before. Wednesday! It does make your head hurt but all the other studying I’ve done, and other commentary, I really think it is Wednesday that Jesus was crucified. Thanks for this teaching it was very well put together!

Thanks for addressing this. As unimportant as it seems, it’s one more arrow that will be deflected by a Christian college freshman whose faith is gleefully attacked by someone who thinks he or she has found a “contradiction” in the Bible. Yep! Allen is on IT!! Jesus was crucified on Wednesday, was put in the tomb by Wed evening and rose Saturday evening (at the end of the Sabbath), as He was already gone by the time the women got to the tomb. I grew up with this teaching so hearing this stirred me up and made me happy lol!! 😂 I ❤ it!

You are right on, brother. Jesus died on Wednesday and rose on Saturday. This fact doesn't make or break our salvation, but it is important. It is important to know because it proves the Bible to be accurate and prophecy must be interpreted correctly, or it will make the Bible seem to be unreliable. The sabbath or Saturday is the 7th day of the week NOT the 6th. Now that doesn’t mean that I’m a sabbatarian though. As a matter of fact, I left the SDA church years ago. Thank God. I believe you can worship God any day.
