90% of Bradley videos miss the point that the track is an infantry or scout taxi. Its main mission is to deliver infantry to an objective and cover them from threats. Or, to deliver scouts to observe enemy positions. This is 80% of its use in US Military Doctrine. But hardly anyone says anything about this.

As a retired Cav Scout and Cav Scout Instructor, having a Bradley as a Scout vehicle was the dumbest idea in the world! You could hear it coming and see it coming from a mile or more away. As a light scout, I preferred a humve or just plan walking. It was fun to go to the range and shoot the Bushmaster and TOW.
Now the guard in Washington state has moved to the Stryker, which we started to push for in 2010. And as for being a dismount on one sucked at ytc in the summer, I'm just glad I never had to do it.

The Americans should develop an APC with wheels. Tracked vehicles are slower and more prone to mechanical problems. There are also land mines, which would blow off a whole track and bring everything to a grinding halt while they repair the track.

It has its place, and that's getting troops from point A to point B with protection from small arms fire. It isn't designed to face off with a tank, and if you are facing off with one, you're in a very bad place.

If Armored Personnel Carriers would have been available for the D-Day landings, things would have been much different for many of our troops. APC’s are a tremendous troop protection asset for an Offensive operation.

... And any driver who stalled pivot-steering, owed the crew and 'Bradley Baggage' a round of drinks... Man I miss the howl of that Cummins VT-903 in my M2A2.

This is the epitome of American badassery, this is supposed to be a Amphibious Troop Carrier IFV, but it also basically became a light tank. With actually not bad survivability.
Amazing.
